challenge:

In March 2020, when the pandemic has just started, Thailand closed its borders for 1,5 year. In July 2021, Thailand announced Phuket Sandbox – a program of Thailand re-opening for vaccinated tourists with certain conditions. Action Central Asia & CIS was tasked to remind Kazakhstanis about Thailand and raise awareness of Phuket Sandbox program.

approach:

Action Central Asia & CIS arranged a culinary project in collaboration with popular luxury lifestyle influencers, including Alisher Yelikbayev, Dinara Satzhan, Aziza Aibadullina.

The project included cooperation with Bangkok café – Thai cuisine café in Almaty. Together with influencers, the Chef organized a master class where to demonstrate the process of cooking Tom Yum Khung and mango sticky rice. While cooking, everybody was sharing their experience of travelling to Thailand. Phuket Sandbox program was also discussed by influencers.

As a result, a four-minute video has been created and then was promoted across various channels: social media communities, influencers’ Instagram accounts, Amazing Thailand Instagram account.
